Game of Thrones Cast: Season 3 Announced

Game of Thrones Cast Members Announced For Season 3

The last few months, I’ve tried to find something to fill my time with now that Game of Thrones is filming the third season. I have rewatched every single episode at least three times, and will probably spend a good portion of the new year reading Storm of Swords (book three in a Song of Ice and Fire). In the meantime, I have been keeping a close eye on the Game of Thrones cast news and might just be the best place for your GOT fix.

Here is a look at the new actors and actresses that will be playing a part in Season 3

Clive Russell as Blackfish Tully, Nathalie Emanuel as Missendei, Mackenzie Crook as Orell, Kerry Ingram Shireen Baratheon, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jojen Reed, Ellie Kendrick as Meera Reed, Richard Dormer as Beric Dondarrion, Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr, Diana Rigg as Olenna Tyrell. You can watch a preview of the new cast above.

However, those mentioned above aren’t the only ones cast so far. also has provided some sort of speculation as to who will be playing what. (If you plan on reading Storm of Swords like I do, I suggest you refrain from reading since it might just tarnish the images of the characters. You never know)

Iwan Reon-Game Of Thrones-cast-

Iwan Rheon was spotted hanging out with the rest of the cast on Facebook. It is popular opinion that he may be playing Roose Bolton’s bastard son Ramsay Snow.

Tom Brooke-Game Of Thrones-cast-

Next up is Tom Brooke. His agency announced that Brooke, alongside a couple of other clients would be in the new season of Game of Thrones. It is unknown who he is playing.

On the other hand, his co-workers Anton Lesser and Tobias Menzies were confirmed with the roles of Edmure Tully and Qyburn during Comic-Con 2012.

Other unknowns include Noah Taylor (Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Life Aquatic) and Burn Gorman (Torchwood, The Dark Knight Rises). Given that they were seen filming in Belfast, it is very likely that they will be a part of the Night’s Watch.

Dan Hildebrand has recently been casted as Kraznys and Ramon Tikaram as Prendhal.

Finally, saving the best for last, Ciaran Hinds has been casted as Mance Ryder! It’s good to hear that HBO got a big name on their cast list and someone who we can already expect a good performance from.
