Doctor Who: “The Light at the End”

The year of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary celebrations is starting to get very spicy. Big Finish Productions has announced, Doctor Who: “The Light at the End”. The special 100-minute audio drama brings together all living classic Doctors, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann, reprising their roles as the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Doctors respectively.

According to the Big Finish Website, the Doctors paths suddenly intersect when they face imminent destruction.

“We wanted to do a proper, fully-fledged multi-Doctor story for this very special occasion,” says writer, director and executive producer Nicholas Briggs (from Big Finish Website)

The Doctors will also be joined by a number of their regular companions: Louise Jameson reprises the role of the savage Leela, Sarah Sutton plays the scientist Nyssa, Nicola Bryant is American botany student Peri, Sophie Aldred is streetwise kid Ace and India Fisher returns as Edwardian adventurer Charley Pollard.

The Light at the End will be released in two different versions, as well as a download.

The standard edition encompasses two discs, featuring the two hour-long episodes of the story.

A five-disc limited special edition comes with two hour-long documentaries, and a Companion Chronicles tale. The special edition comes in special packaging featuring pictures of the cast.
